WHAT YOU VISIT
Ephesus - Enter through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeon, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theatre. The theatre has a seating placement for 25,000 people and that theatre is the site where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians and it is used today for local spring festival.

Terrace Houses of Ancient Ephesus- Near the Library of Celcus, at the bottom of the slope of the mount, is a row of houses that were thought to be the residences of the wealthy people of Ephesus. The recent restorations pay close attention to their original form of opening straight onto the street with wide stairs, walls decorated with mosaics and frescoes, and marble plating. 
WHAT YOU SEE ALONG THE WAYFrom Kusadasi, you travel north of the Ephesus, passing the Byzantine fortress in Selcuk, the ruins of the Temple of Artemis and St. John’s Basilica. After your tour, on the way back to Kusadasi you may either choose to take place in a carpet exhibition or shop on your own in the bazaars while walking back to the ship at your leisure time.

SPECIAL NOTESEphesus requires walking long distances over uneven surfaces. Please bring sunscreen and a hat as shade is limited. Take consistent crowding and congestion into consideration at the sites.
